Lymm Angling Club has a growing and popular junior section. The club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of 8 and 16 to receive coaching and compete in club matches, as well as local, regional and national matches. All our coaches are fully qualified to work with young people. The club has achieved the high standards required to be awarded the Sport England's Clubmark. This is awarded to clubs by the Angling Trust once the club demonstrates that it meets the Angling Trust’s criteria for its playing programme, knowing your club, and its community and club management. Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport. Our club Welfare Officer, Chris Finneran, is responsible for overseeing the program and has successfully run the Junior section for many years. We welcome parents to all training and competition sessions and value your support. We are also keen to involve parents in the club and will encourage you to attend any of our organised events where you can meet club members and find out more about Lymm Angling Club.Suitable clothing must be worn by your child for the conditions. Please keep in mind that your child maybe outside for long periods of time and that conditions may change through the day. There is also an opportunity for juniors to take part in a mini matchseries which allows them to put into practice the lessons learnt from the academy, the entry fee for each competition is £3 payable on the day and many of our juniors have gone on to represent the club at both regional and national levels. The club has a junior membership fee which is renewed annually, click herefor more details. The 4 week Academy will cost a total of £30 which includes a starter kit and a Junior membership valid until the end of the year. This will provide your child with the basic equipment to participate in the Academy and use afterwards in matches or simply enjoy a day out on one of our many accessible and family friendly waters.
